The GlassFish community implements an Open Source Java EE 5 application server. GlassFish is a robust, commercial, production quality, compatible application server that is free for development, deployment, and redistribution.GlassFish's Service-Oriented Architecture approach supports development of interoperable & agile enterprise applications with an ability to adapt more flexibility to changing business needs.The workshop covers use of GlassFish, span of GlassFish community, configuration and deployment of a Java EE Project using open source environment.

Business today are recognizing the value that can be obtained from using a managed trust infrastructure that issues electronic ID certificates from employees, customers and partners. With this in place, standard business applications can be easily trust enabled using digital signatures. Development of business solutions within e-commerce environments using digital signature creation and verification, digital certificate issuance and validation plus data encryption technologies. Brief discussion on Introduction to cryptography, PKI and electronic identity management, Information security concepts, Digital signatures is the focus of this workshop session.

BPM (Business Process Management) is a methodology used to model operations and procedures carried out by organizations. BPM is becoming really popular in organizations that are concerned with process automation and improvement. Gartner's report estimates the total value of BPM software by 2010 to be $3.5 B. Most of the BPM solutions have been commercial, until recently when two important open-source solutions emerged on BPMS scene.
