Dr. Omer Waqar:
Omer Waqar received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan, in 2007 and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Leeds, Leeds, U.K., in November 2011. From January 2012 to July 2013, he was a Research Fellow with the Center for Communications Systems Research (CCSR) and 5G Innovation Center (5GIC), University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Al-Khawarizmi Institute of Computer Science, UET, Lahore. His current research interests include energy-efficient design of fifth-generation wireless access networks, performance analysis of multihop relay networks, and cooperative communication systems, particularly base-station cooperation or coordinated multipoint communications. He has published various IEEE research papers and is a member of IEEE.
Dr. Usman Saeed:
Usman Saeed received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees, both in Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore in 2004 and 2006, respectively. His M.Sc. work at UET was focused on wireless communications and RF channel modeling. He earned his MS and PhD degrees both in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He has briefly worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Tech and a Design Engineer at the General Electric Company.
Saba Iqbal has received her B.sc degree in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunication) from COMSATS Institute of Information & Technology Lahore. Currently she is working as Research Officer Grade III at Huawei UET Telecom & IT Centre (HUTIC).She conducts UMTS Radio Network Optimization (RNO) trainings. Her areas of interest include UMTS Radio Planning and Optimization, Planning and Optimization Tools,4G /LTE Planning and Optimization.
