KICS has developed the Software IPAS which is a network and web based application that covers the commercial and technical aspects as contained in the Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) 2002 entered in to between Company and National Transmission & Dispatch Company. The Sapphire Electric Company Limited intended for the Customization of IPAS as per its local requirements that facilitates the company in its future operations after the commercial operations date. The project scope covers the collection of the meter readings, weather station information, complex events information, etc. from the SECL power plant, located at Sheikupura Muridke Road, Lahore. This project also covers the scope of the integration of the IPAS software with the International Standards based system Oracle Financial & Company Pie Server in accordance with the customized requirements of the Client. This project is followed by the Implementation, support, training and maintenance of the customized IPAS for Sapphire Electric Company Limited. This application contains all the modules inherited from IPAS (to determine Capacity Payments Invoice, Energy Payments Invoice, Liquidated Damages Bill, Energy Price, Capacity Price, Scheduled Outages, Hybrid Outages, Maintenance Outages, Forced Outage or Partial Forced Outage, Tariff Table and Reports Generation etc.) with an addition of new modules for the customization for the Client. The Metering Data is collected from Primary and Backup metering system over GPRS, DSL, Ethernet and PSTN channels as an alternate data channels to ensure the availability of the metering data as a pre requisite for the Generation and Claim of both the Capacity and Energy Invoices of the Independent Power Producer.
