LTE Networks & Physical Layer Modeling of LTE Air Interface
This workshop will start with the introduction to the LTE network architecture and its deployment worldwide. LTE air interface and the resource grid will be explained in detail followed by their simulations in MATLAB and C++. The concepts regarding rate matching, segmentation, modulation, coding, pre-coding, layer mapping and more importantly, the OFDM will be explained using LTE simulator with the focus on 3GPP LTE standard. You will also be able to learn about the channel modeling for LTE communication systems. A comprehensive demonstration about the LTE PHY layer modeling in MATLAB is given during this workshop.
Light will be shed on the progress of 5G standardization and the research work. Following this, state-of-the art potential radio access and backhaul technologies (e.g., Massive MIMO, Multi-cell cooperation, mmWave) for 5G systems will be described by the experienced researchers.

This workshop broadly targets individuals who are working or intend to work on LTE networks and LTE Air Interface in 4G LTE telecom industry. This workshop is ideally suited for final-year undergraduate students, graduate students, researchers, system Engineers, protocol stack developers and researchers who either wish to work in R&D wireless industry or pursue PhD from high ranked universities in this related field. This workshop will also definitely help to achieve a long term career goal working in high-tech manufacturers of wireless broadband systems (e.g., Qualcomm, Broadcom, Huawei, Ericsson, Samsung, Intel, NVIDIA, Ruckus Wireless, and Redline Communications, etc).
