Android is the fastest growing mobile platform having 43% market share worldwide till second quarter 2011. It is an open-source mobile platform, based on the Linux kernel. Because of Android's open-source license, there are virtually numerous opportunities in software development for the platform. This hands-on course encourages students/professionals to learn building increasingly more sophisticated and meaningful mobile applications for Android.

This course includes complete understanding of Android application life-cycle, testing, and introduction to game development. Participants will also learn to publish their applications in Android market.Upon the completion of this course, each participant will be able to build their own Android application, incorporating most of the key aspects of the platform.
